Coralie Grzes is committed to minimising her environmental impact throughput her creative process.
That’s why she decided to become a FAIRMINED Licensee brand in 2017 when she started to question the origin of the raw materials, such as gold and silver, that she uses to produce her pieces.
Her fine jewelry is always crafted from Fairmined gold and silver or recycled gold and silver from her own production. All her pieces are made in solid 18k gold or sterling silver (925/1000). Coralie never uses never plated or filled metals because she aims to create durable and high-quality jewelry which does not change in appearance over the years.
WHAT IS FAIRMINED GOLD & SILVER?
The gold and silver used in the jewelry is 100% FAIRMINED certified.
This label guarantees the ethical origin of the gold. The extraction respects the environment and the working conditions of miners and their communities.
FAIRMINED mines are artisanal mines operated by the inhabitants of the region.
The label makes it possible for them to improve the working conditions of miners and the mining infrastructure. It helps miners to remain autonomous, giving them access to national and international consumer markets (jewelers and manufacturers).
Jewelers are also monitored through audits of our practices, our purchases of raw materials and our sales of finished products so that the process remains fully transparent from extraction to the consumer.
Responsibly Sourced from Small mining organizations
By purchasing jewelry made of FAIRMINED gold or silver you are helping to improve this traceability system and encouraging new mines and new jewelry makers to join the FAIRMINED family every year. You’ll also be helping to reduce the number of “illegal” and non-regulated mines.
Thanks to the strict requirements of the label, we are assured of compliance with environmental standards of the mine and its surroundings, of equal pay between men and women, the prohibition of child labor, access to health protection for all workers and their families, non-participation in the financing of armed conflicts and the development of the community located around the mine.
Each piece of jewelry is sold with a certificate attesting to the origin of the raw materials.
